The first batch of new classes for the Fall have arrived. Thanks to Jocelyn Grayson, who just joined the staff here at Nine Rubies. She has infused the schedule with many new ideas and here are the first batch of classes based on some of those ideas.
We were so inspired by the book and blog Mason-Dixon Knitting that we structured a class around it. The book features an enormously popular blanket (and technique) called Log cabin. You start with a central square and add logs around it. In different colors. By picking up stitches around the edges of the previous rectangle. So many techniques and so little time.
Knitters everywhere are thinking about the holidays and everyone has started or is thiking about making lists. Well, Joelle Hoverson’s book Last Minute Knitted Gifts is a book with great ideas for gifts – and usable ones too. So, we structured a class so you could pick any project (or two – depending on your speed). Holiday Knitting will give you a jumpstart on your holiday knitting.
The third and final new class on the schedule is in the same holiday theme. Join Sudha to knit a Christmas Stocking. Pick from a selection of 18 Christmas Stocking patterns for one of your near-and-dear ones. And then join the group when you decorate with bobbles, beads or names of your loved ones.
So, check out the schedule and start planning your fall knitting.
